Christos Nikolaou
Biography
Christos Nikolaou obtained his degree from the department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics at the University of Patras, Greece, in 2023. His current research topic is “Mitigation of residual stresses in 3D-printed composites”. The objective of his project is to develop novel methodologies that optimize the manufacturing processes of 3D-printed composites by integrating experimentally validated neural network models and thermomechanical simulations. His research includes the mechanical characterization of reinforced parts, simulation of the printing process and warping, and creating computationally efficient printing process simulations using Reduced Order Models (ROMs). The goal is to improve the efficiency and quality of 3D printing processes for high-performance applications.
