Christian Toderascu

Christian Toderascu graduated from a joint civil engineering master programme between the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in 2022. 

He worked as an independent student during his studies from 2019 to 2022, doing mostly administrative tasks in a small construction company. He did a three months internship at BESIX in the Parametric Design & Automation team where he developed an application that could automate calculations, optimisations and report-making from Excel and MathCAD spreadsheets of civil engineers.

He started as a PhD student at MeMC in 2022 (in collaboration with ULB) on the topic of multi-scale investigation of 3D textile reinforced cement composites (TRC). Combining an experimental and computational approach, he wants to accurately model the improved performance in bending that occurs when using 3D instead of 2D textiles in TRC.
